IRONMAN athletes will head back to where it all started when the IRONMAN African Championship hits Hobie Beach in 2023! The iconic bay swim and rolling bike and run courses offer a challenging yet scenic course.
The one-loop 3.8 km (2.4 mile) swim takes athletes past Humewood Beach all the way to Kings Beach before turning and heading back towards Hobie Beach. The two-loop 180.2km (112 mile) bike course is arguably the most spectacular on the IRONMAN world circuit, taking through the suburbs and along the coastline, offering athletes sweeping views of the ocean, the rugged coastline and adjacent countryside. The two-lap 42.2 km (26.2 mile) run course takes athletes along the beachfront and back to the magical red carpet finish line chute at Hobie Beach.
