Border2Beach was founded by brothers, Struan and Lyle Anderson who wanted to honour their late father by cycling across the country on the same route he had traversed as a schoolboy in 1969.

The inaugural Border2Beach Psycle Tour saw four cyclists ride from Beit Bridge to Cape Town to create awareness about dementia while raising R200,000 for Alzheimers SA to train 80 caregivers in the process. Border2Beach starts an exciting new chapter in 2020 as they open the event to the public and take a small group of cyclists on the ride of their lives. A portion of entry fees will be donated to Alzheimers SA and various upliftment projects in towns along the route.

This ride is more than just a multi-stage road cycling event, but also a heritage tour of South Africa exposing riders to some of the hidden gems along the route. This experience is a celebration of our beautiful country and the warmth of her people.

Cyclists will average 160km a day over 14 days of riding. Space is limited to 50 spots. Riders may purchase a solo entry or choose to enter as a team (anything from 3 – 5 people) for a further discounted rate.
