Origin Of Trails MTB Experience entrants can look forward to riding the iconic trails on the Blaauwklippen Wine Estate, with the estate serving as the host venue for the 2019 event, which takes place on 30 November and 1 December.
“We are excited to celebrate the Origin Of Trails MTB Experience’s 7th anniversary at Blaauwklippen Wine Estate,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director Stillwater Sports.
A popular tourist destination, Blaauwklippen boasts some iconic trails that will form part of the 2019 route.
Mountain bikers and their family and friends can relax in the festival village after each stage, indulging in mouthwatering food, awarding-winning wine and live entertainment.
“Blaauwklippen Wine Estate is one of the oldest wine farms in South Africa,” says Johan van Dyk, Marketing Manager Blaauwklippen Wine Estate.
“A key destination for local and international travellers, our vineyards are a local favourite for the active Stellenbosch MTB community. As the host venue of the Origin Of Trails MTB Experience, we are given the opportunity to share our destination and the unique beauty of our farm with South Africa’s MTB community.”
While mountain bikers take to the vineyards and scale the Stellenbosch mountain, their family and friends can enjoy Blaauwklippen’s facilities, which include the Hamm & Uys Eatery (South African favourites with a twist), wine tastings and sales; wine pairings and gin tastings, to mention just a few.
For the kids, Blaauwklippen is a fantastic and welcoming place, with wide-open spaces, friendly goats and a fun-filled jungle gym.
