The wait is finally over! FIBO Global Fitness Africa 2019, presented by Dis-Chem Pharmacies, is happening this weekend (25 – 27 October) at the Ticketpro Dome.

Fitness fanatics have waited in anticipation for FIBO Africa, the biggest fitness and lifestyle festival in South Africa.

Something for everyone

With over 24 group classes, 29 mind, body and soul fit classes, 16 healthy food demos, 13 health wellness and fitness talks and shopping galore, there is something for everyone on offer.

The theme for FIBO 2019 is FindYourFITness. FIBO is the place to find what works for you, for you to change your life, and to achieve the goals that you wish to attain.

You’ll rarely find so many forms of fitness at your fingertips, at one time and under one roof. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to try and experience everything that FIBO has to offer.

Immerse yourself in fitness for one weekend with our comprehensive visitor’s guide:

1: Sweat Towel and Workout Clothes

It’s an activity-packed expo, so make sure that you wear the right clothes and shoes to stay comfortable, for lots of activity and to keep stamina throughout the entire festival. Make sure you bring a sweat towel and a water bottle for all the classes at your disposal.

2: Plan Your Show on the FIBO website

FIBO has so much to offer, from the Fit Affairs, FitMOVE classes, MiFitness Games, NPL Strongman, DSV Skill Challenge, to the Almond Breeze FitFOOD demonstrations and FitTalk powered by JBL. You can also relax and rewind in the Bos FitZEN Zone.

Plan your visit to experience everything the show has to offer by visiting www.FIBOSA.co.za. Don’t forget to leave space for spontaneous activities.

3: Make it your mission to find your LoveOfFIT

We want you to share your experience at FIBO with everyone. Please feel free to take as many pictures and videos of all the classes and innovations at FIBO. Don’t forget to use the hashtags #FIBOAfrica19 #FindYourFITness and #LoveOfFIT

4: Bring cash

ATMs can be found at Entrance 1 (Absa) and Entrance 3 (Standard Bank). While most exhibitors will have card machines, bring cash just in case!

5: Safety and security

FIBO organisers want you to have as much fun and get as involved as possible, without worrying about safety and security. They’ve provided security, and your health and safety are in good hands with paramedics on-site and on-call, just in case you push yourself too hard in one of the classes, or get overwhelmed with excitement!

6: Make use of the Nickerbockerdooblebug FitPLAYGROUND

It’s geared towards the whole family from working dads and moms trying to hustle some training time, to beginners looking to develop a more holistic and healthy lifestyle. FIBO caters for the little ones too with the Nickerbockerdooblebug FitPLAYGROUND, which is a dedicated, safe and fun childcare area to care for the kids while you workout!

7: Be a hero with FIBO Africa

Are all your race medals collecting dust? Want to put them to good use? FIBO has the solution. Please bring your old race medals to FIBO Africa. These medals are handed out to many children who are patients at the Oliver Tambo Hospital in Johannesburg and the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital in Cape Town. They are symbols of bravery and are handed to the children either post-op or when they are about to go home. Make a difference in these children’s lives. Simply bring your medal with you to FIBO Africa and hang it on the medal tree at the entrance. Come on, be a hero!

8: Get your tickets!

The most important and obvious point of all is to purchase your tickets to FIBO now! Children under the age of 12 get in for free! You can purchase them at www.computicket.com. Your FIBO ticket will give you access to all the classes and talks that FIBO has to offer.

9: Parking

Parking is not included in your ticket price, so be sure to keep R25 handy to keep your car parked safely and securely.
