Organisers of the Totalsports Women’s Race have cancelled all events in the 2020 series due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The races were scheduled to take place in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban on Sunday, 9 August 2020, which is National Women’s Day.

The organisers explained their decision in a media statement: “Adhering to the directive from Athletics South Africa (ASA) in response to the current state of the COVID-19 pandemic, a decision has been made to cancel the 2020 edition of the Totalsports Women’s Race. Entries for the events will therefore not open this year. We are thankful to each and every runner, our sponsors and suppliers for their unwavering support.”

Runners can hopefully look forward to South Africa’s largest Women’s Day Celebration in 2021. Visit www.totalsportswomensrace.com for updates and more information.
